We are starting up the fundraising again for Sydni. Our next will be at Papa Murphy's in Wildwood. This was such a great success last year, and we are hoping for the same this year. This is Sydni's favorite pizza, and our family's also.
Our next event will be "Family Bowling night" at Brunswick Zone in Valley Park on January 22, 2011 from 2:30-4:30. This was such a fun event last year, and hopes are that Sydni will have as much fun this year along with all of her friends.
Hope Through Laughter @ Comedy Etc. II in Fairview Heights, IL on February 20 @ 8pm, doors open at 6:30pm. This was such an awesome event last year for the adults, and the laughter was heartwarming as Sydni loves laughter.
Our hope is to get Sydni back to Germany for another treatment. We have begun a new medication from France, and some other natural remedies that has brought us to 18 days of no seizures. Now our goal is to help her to regain more of her abilities back, and we believe that another treatment will be a promising answer for her.
Since her Stem Cell treatment in March, we have seen a small miracle. Her speech and language has improved greatly, and she is now more aware of what is going on around her. She is happy now more days than not. This is a true blessing to our family and friends.
As I do hope they find a cure for Dravets Syndrome (SMEB), our hopes are to give Sydni all we can to improve her quality of life, and keep moving up the ladder that she has so strongly climbed. She is such a strong little girl, who just wants to be a LITTLE GIRL!
