Since Stem Cell in Germany, we have seen such improvement in Sydni.  Her speech/Language has improved by 80% of what it was before we went.  She is laughing a lot more, and loving school. 

Unfortunately, we have hit a bump in the road with a cluster of seizures.  Sydni has sensitivities to certain things (Red dyes) and it got the best of her.  Along with illness these are our toughest battles.  With this in mind we have decided to give Stiripentol a try.  It is a very expensive medication, and is not approved here in the US, but we have to give her what we can.  It has been only a couple of days, and we seem to be doing ok on it.  The side effects are not as severe as other drugs. 

We still plan on returning to Germany for a second treatment for Sydni, as we believe that it can only help her.  We don't expect miracles, but have gotten them already.  The relief Sydni has gotten from this is a miracle to us.  It is such a joy to see our little girl coming back out of the shell she has been hiding under for years. 

We will be beginning the fundraising again, with hopes to get back to Germany soon.
